 American Girl® / Pleasant Company Doll Re-Stringing Workshop

Join us at AG Annex for an evening workshop focused on one of the most important skills in doll care: restringing. Over time, the elastic inside American Girl® and Pleasant Company dolls stretches and weakens, causing loose limbs and difficulty standing or sitting properly. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how these dolls are constructed and how to safely remove and replace the internal elastic so the arms, legs, and head move and hold their position the way they were designed to.

Participants will be guided step-by-step through the restringing process and will learn the tools, materials, and techniques used in basic doll restoration. By the end of the class, you’ll understand how to maintain and repair your dolls so they remain beautiful and playable for years to come.

• Limited to 8 participants

Participants may bring their own American Girl or Pleasant Company doll or purchase a project doll for $25 with paid registration.

All tools and restringing materials will be provided for use during the class.

This workshop is designed to be small, welcoming, and practical — a chance to learn a valuable doll-care skill while spending time with others who appreciate these dolls just as much as you do.
